What is Ty-Golau all about?

We always have people asking questions about what we do, so here is a few of the questions we get asked about and the answers that apply to them.

Do I need to be referred or can I just turn up?

Answer
Your doctor/ health provider can refer you as can family members / friends/ people who know you well. You can also refer yourself.

Do I have to be certain age?

Answer
You do not have to be a certain age to attend the group. Our oldest member is 96 and the youngest is 43.

Can I bring someone with me and can they stay?

Answer
You will need to be accompanied to each session.

What if I want to leave the group early?

Answer
If you have to leave the group early for any reason, that will not cause a problem.

I have eyesight/ hearing problems. Will that be a problem?

Answer
We have large power point presentations which are clearly visible to all and we use an amplifier throughout the session.

I have a wheelchair. Is there disabled/ wheelchair access?

Answer
We have wheelchair access and disabled toilets at the venue.

Where are the sessions held?

Answer
Sessions are held at Kidwelly.

What are the times of the sessions?

Answer
The sessions are held between 10.30 and 12.00

What is the cost?

Answer
The 1st session ( a taster) is free. The cost thereafter is £5. Included in the cost is tea/ coffee and biscuits. Carers just pay £1 for refreshments.

How do I pay?

Answer
Payment is made in cash.

Do you tell others that I am attending? ( I would not want others to know my business)

Answer
We have a Data Protection Policy and you are assured of confidentiality at all times.
