Mary Stanfield
Volunteer

Mary has been married to Will for 36 years and is mother and grandmother.
After leaving school at eighteen Mary worked in the NHS as a Clerical Officer.
Since then her time has been taken up with being a wife and mother. Also over many years she have been a carer for various members of her family.
Latterly. Mary was full-time one-to-one carer for her mother who was a bi-lateral amputee.
In May 2014 Mary made the decision to go out into the community and try ‘to make a difference’, to be of use and to help people in need. “Ty Golau’s door was open and I walked in and have been there ever since.”
It is now her highlight of the week and enjoys every moment of time spent with the service users, their carers and the team of volunteers.
